# Update name or email address
You can update your personal information in Data Fetcher through either the extension or on [datafetcher.com](https://datafetcher.com). Follow the instructions below to make these changes.
If you need to update your billing information instead (such as the billing name, address, or email that appears on invoices), please refer to our [Update Billing Information](/account/update-billing-information) article.
## Update in the Data Fetcher extension
### Update your name
1. Hover over the Data Fetcher extension, then click the **settings icon** (⚙️).
2. Click your profile icon in the top right.
3. Click **Profile**.
4. Under **Your Details**, click **Edit name**.
5. Enter your updated name in the field provided.
6. Click **Save** to apply your changes.
### Update your email address
1. Hover over the Data Fetcher extension.
2. Click your profile icon in the top right.
3. Click **Profile**.
4. Under **Your Details**, click **Edit email**.
5. Enter your updated email address in the field provided.
6. Click **Save** to apply your changes.
## Update on datafetcher.com
### Update your name
1. Sign in to your account at [https://datafetcher.com/sign-in](https://datafetcher.com/sign-in)
2. Click your profile icon in the top right.
3. Click **Profile**.
4. Under **Your Details**, click **Edit name**.
5. Enter your updated name in the field provided.
6. Click **Save** to apply your changes.
### Update your email address
1. Sign in to your account at [https://datafetcher.com/sign-in](https://datafetcher.com/sign-in)
2. Click your profile icon in the top right.
3. Click **Profile**.
4. Under **Your Details**, click **Edit email**.
5. Enter your updated email address in the field provided.
6. Click **Save** to apply your changes.
